Acacia honey is the most respected and well-known type of honey in Italy. Mariangela Prunotto’s premium and subtly aromatic acacia honey is collected from nests that are moved around the hills of the Langhe, around Alba in the shade of acacia trees.
Honey is characterized by its unique light, almost colorless color, flowable texture and delicate and refined aroma and taste. You can find flowering and fruitiness in the scent. The taste of acacia honey, on the other hand, is sweet, and a hint of acidity can also be found in it. The vanilla aroma is very subtle and clear.
Acacia honey is a great and versatile sweetener, as its own subtle taste never obscures other flavors. Try it especially with blue cheeses like Roquefort and Gorgonzola!
