Oro del Desierto's 1/10 virgin olive oil from Spain is a special batch from the producer. It is a special early harvest oil with the typical numbers of early harvest oils in its name.
First of all, olives are the first (1) to be pressed for the first oils of the harvest. The olives are harvested in October (10), when most of the olives are still green. Secondly, 10 kilos of fresh olives (1/10) are needed to make 1 litre of this premium olive oil.
1/10 olive oil is fresh, unfiltered olive oil that is available to gourmets within a few months of pressing. As the oil matures in its bottle, it becomes similar to the manufacturer's other oils, allowing it to be used like any other oil.
1/10 oil should only be used at room temperature, for example to finish dishes and salads or to dip with bread. Its early harvest properties will keep for 6-8 months, but the oil can still be used 12 months after preparation.

Pedro Ximenez sherry vinegar is distinguished from other Capirete sherry vinegars by its sweet taste. It is made from grapes of the Pedro Ximenez variety, known for its rich, sweet flavour.
The grapes are picked when fully ripe and then left to dry in the sun. This further intensifies the sweetness of the grapes.
In addition to the sweet taste, you can taste aromas of raisins, figs and quince from sherry vinegar. It has a thicker consistency than regular vinegars, making it ideal for glazing, salad dressings and marinades. It is also widely used in Spain to finish grilled meats, cooked vegetables and fruit salads.
